I am a reporter and political junkie, and my homepage is set to Rough & Tumble. I grew up in Sacramento, known as much for its cows as its politicos, and have been known to follow midnight budget negotiations on Twitter.
I graduated from UC Berkeley, where I was editor of the Berkeley Political Review. I’ve interned in and around the state capitol, including for Capitol Weekly. I spent last summer reporting in the Washington, D.C. bureau of the Los Angeles Times.
I’ve lived in the Bay Area for six years, and Mt. Tam is one of my all-time favorite places. I like to cook, but only because I love to eat, and my other vices include shoes and oldies music. I am equally inspired by beautiful photography and a really, really good piece of chocolate.
